Our Staff

Dr. Foss, president and owner of The Hearing Clinic, was born and raised in Aurora, Nebraska.  He received his undergraduate degree from BYU and completed his Internship at the Mayo Clinic.  He received his doctorate of Audiology Degree from the University of Florida.  In 1982 he founded The Hearing Clinic.  Dr. Foss is Board Certified in Audiology by the American Board of Audiology.  He is a Fellow with the American Academy of Audiology and has received the Scholar Award for outstanding commitment to continuing education.  Dr. Foss has also received the honor of being able to serve on the State Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology with the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services.  Since 2003 Dr. Foss has been an Audiology State Leader representing Nebraska at National Meetings.  He has been practicing audiology for over 30 years. 

Dr. Andresen, a Grand Island native, joined The Hearing Clinic, in January, 2011.  Kim received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.  She went on to receive her Doctor of Audiology from Central Michigan University and worked eight years at a large private audiology practice in Virginia before returning home.  She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.  She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is currently pursuing Board Certification.  She has been an adjunt faculty member teaching audiology for Longwood University in Farmville, VA since 2009.  Kim specializes in pediatrics, hearing and balance assessment, as well as hearing aid fittings.  She effectively communicates using American Sign Language. 

Katie Kowalski, Office Manager~

Katie joined our staff in 1998.  She lives in St. Paul, is married to Scott and they have three children.  Away from the office she volunteers as an EMT with St. Paul Fire & Rescue.

Mandee Shupe, Billing Specialist~

Mandee and her husband Pat live in Grand Island and have two active children.  Mandee spends her free time bowling, playing softball, gardening and baking.

Ashley Nealson, Scheduling Coordinator~

Ashley is the newest member of our staff.  Ashley loves spending time with her son and playing sports.  Anytime you come in or call, you will be greated with a smle!
